Herbaceous Perennial.
The white wood aster is native to the US Appalachian mountains. A favourite shade-loving plant of Gertrude Jekyll. Masses of white daisy-like flowers with honey-yellow centres are produced in loose cluster from June though to October. Partial shade. Prefers moist well-drained soil. Fully hardy.
